Museum of Zeeland
The Museum of Zeeland is the biggest museum in the province of Zeeland. This is a museum where nature, history and art meet. The varied collection of the museum includes Zeeland tapestries, traditional costumes, jewellery, porcelain, archaeological finds, fossils, shells and master pieces of applied arts, modern and contemporary art.
The Museum of Zeeland is housed in the Abbey, located in the centre of Middelburg, the capital of the province of Zeeland. The museum is closed for reconstruction until spring 2007. The interior of the museum will be entirely redesigned by the famous Belgian architect Christian Kieckens, which will make it possible to present the rich collection of the museum in a completely different light.
Until the museum reopens, various programs will be organized.
