Already the building where the museum is located in is worth a visit. The museum is established in a complex consisting of part built in the 16th, 17th, 18th and the 21st centuries. These parts are joint to each others by modern architecture. The restored Lampsinhuis from the 16th century form the heart of the museum: in this former city palace from the golden century, visitors can learn more about the maritime history of Zeeland. From the look-out tower from the 17th century, you can enjoy the view of the sea. The maritime history of the region is presented in many different ways. Visitors can see a lot, but they can also listen, discover and experience things themselves. The four main themes of the collection of the museum are Water, Work, Glory and Adventure.
